Kendall had his two year appointment with the pediatrician on Friday. It went well and the dr. is very pleased with what he can do.
Stats are:
Weight 25.6 lbs (50%)
Height 33 inches (25%)-I think he is taller and they measured him on the scale, so I don't think this is accurate)
He scored 100% on his M-Chat (test for checking for Autism) There are no signs of autism at all in Kendall.
She was surprised that Kendall knew some of his colors. She said he should not know them until age 3. Kendall knows some colors, some shapes and some of the alphabet. He can also count to 10. He counts the steps as we go up and down them. He will also seperate cheerios while he is eating them and count them out.
He LOVES Montessori School and has really picked up a lot in just the few weeks he has been there. He knows that he is to put his toy back before getting out another. He also does most playing sitting on a rug now. If he is sitting at a table, when he gets up, he knows to clean up his mess and then push in his chair before he can do something else.
He is progressing wonderfully at swim lessons. He is now starting to do dog paddle and can really kick his feet good. He loves to jump in off the side and he goes under water now without fussing.
He is still doing well with potty training. He had a hard time the other day and got scared after, but I think we are good again. He is also starting to say I love you and it just breaks my heart every time I hear it.
Oh and we can't forget the boy LOVES TRAINS!!!!
I will leave you with a story of a boy and his trucks. He got a few trucks for his birthday. He has a bulldozer, a dump truck and a trackhoe. He was laying on his belly the other morning playing with his trucks. He likes to make them crash and announce it. So I was watching him play and he started having the trucks "talk" to one another. The conversation goes like this:
First Truck: Hey there what are you doing?
Second Truck: Just waiting, what are you doing?
He is so funny and so into make believe play these days.

Special Pictures
Here are a couple of pictures that I will be sure to have to drag out when Kendall has his first prom or gets married. Gotta love them!

Potty training is going VERY GOOD! Today Kendall went all day without a wet diaper. He told me one time today "Pee" and I took him and he went instantly. We just can't believe it is going so well.
Lots of Birthday Fun
What a weekend, and I'm so glad and sad at the same time to see it end. Kendall had a wonderful birthday and birthday party. Friday we started the day out by going and getting his pictures taken at Portrait Innovations. They are in the post below. We wanted to get another family picture as well, so we all went. Friday evening we ate dinner at Red Robin. Kasey's dad and stepmom came down also for dinner. After dinner we went home and had Elmo cake and opened presents. Kasey's parents headed back to Chattanooga though. They had driven from Savannah, GA that day, so they were tired. Kendall ended up going to bed at 9:00 that night instead of his normal 7:30, but he was having so much fun. He got lots of fun stuff for his birthday, but I think the biggest hit was his new motorized truck. He was so funny in it.
Saturday morning he actually slept in a bit which was nice for all of us. His swim lessons had gotten cancelled, so that actually worked out well. We ate lunch and then put him down for a nap, so he would be rested up for his party. I had to go get his balloons from Party City.
3pm the fun began. The weather held up for us. It was a 90% chance of rain and it did not rain a drop! Kendall had 11 friends come join him for his party fun. A great time was had by all, and it all went very smooth. They loved the Elmo cupcakes. The sprinkler was a hit. Overall it was a great party. I'm just glad we only have to do it once a year.
Father's Day turned out well too. Kasey loved the photo book that I created for him and he got the fire shoes he wanted for over the wall at the race track, so he is pleased.
Here are some pictures of the birthday boy and his fun weekend.

2 Year Pictures
Happy Birthday Kendall!
HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY KENDALL!!!
Our Big Boy has turned TWO! Well not quite yet, not until 3:33 this afternoon, but today is his big day. This time two years ago I was in quite some pain and getting my epidural.
Happy Birthday Big Boy! We Love you!!!
And just for laughs, so you can see how MISERABLE I really was by this time two years ago. For any of you who "KNOW" me, I'm tiny and look how HUGE I was when I checked into the hospital. 51 lbs heavier than I normally am. It was worth it though!
More pictures to follow!
