Lots of beautiful things on this beautiful weekend

First off the most beautiful thing of all is I'm now 32 weeks pregnant (8 months!) and have only 8 weeks to go or 55 days if you are counting days like me. As for how I feel, well not so great and quite large which you can see in the pictures. I've been having a lot of contractions and not braxton hicks. The real deal, take my breath away contractions. I went and saw the dr. on Tuesday because I could not even walk down the hall because of them. They did a FFN test on me to see if I would be going into labor in the next 14 days. Luckily that was negative. I also was not dilated, so that is also a good thing. If I have 6 or more an hour, I need to call, but not to worry about it unless I do. I just suffer through them. They pass! It is a little early for Harper to be born, so I need to take it easy these last weeks. I've also reached that magical week where I'm no longer allowed to travel. Only 8 weeks, I can do this!

The weekend has also blessed us with some beautiful weather. As you can see Kasey has gotten the boat fixed and decided not to sell it. Kasey took Kendall out on it yesterday along with Paul. He had a blast from what I hear and by the pictures that Kasey took of him. I think we are going to go on it this afternoon. We were hoping Kendall would nap first, but I think he is to excited about going on the boat to go to sleep.

More stuff that is going on with us.

Kendall is potty training for real now. He has not worn a pullup since last Sunday and has done really well. We have him in training pants and then the plastic pants over his training pants, so if he does have an accident, he does not get his clothes wet. He is doing very well so far with no accidents or up to one (usually during naptime) in the day. He still wears a nightime diaper at night for now. He still won't really tell us all the time when he needs to go to the potty, so this is making a lot of trips for us to to the bathroom. He'll get it though. We told him no more diapers. Harper will need them and he is a big boy now.

I'll be turning a big 31 on Tuesday. My birthday has snuck up on me this year for sure. I look forward to celebrating it by having dinner at olive garden with my family. I've been told I can't eat eggplant though since I'm already having contractions. We'll see about that!!!

That's all for us! Enjoy that big belly and those cute pictures of our little doodlebug who is growing up on us way to fast!

A work in Progress-Harper's Nursery

Here are a few pictures of Harper's Nursery. The bumper is not in the crib yet, but pretty much everything else is ready for Harper to arrive. A big THANK YOU to my mom for all her hard work painting and sewing.

Field Trip to Early Works Museum

Kendall got to go on a field trip with his school (Montessori School of Madison) to Early Works on Thursday March 12, 2009. He had a good time with his friends. Next field trip is to the Botanical Gardens Bug Exhibit in April.

Surgery Day

Kendall did really well with his surgery today. This picture was taken while he was watching Playhouse Disney while we were waiting. He loves Playhouse Disney. I actually just purchased tickets to see it Live at the end of the month. They are coming to town. He'll love it!

As far as his surgery, all went well. We got there at 7am. They were taking him back to the OR about 8:45. They came and got him and left him on his bed and he was really good. They acted like it was a racecar and they went fast down the hall. The dr. came and spoke with me at 9:30. His right ear was FILLED with fluid, so all that drained out once the tube was in. His left ear actually had a blood clot formed around the tube that he had a really hard time breaking to get to the tube, but finally did. His ear had actually formed around the tube a bit, so he had to really work to get it out and a new one in, but did eventually. The downfall to that part is he has had a lot of bloody drainage in that ear today that I'm having to wick out.

His adenoids were mildly enlarged as well, so they are out or shrunk(they don't actually take them out) He did say that he definatly had an infection forming because he had a lot of mucous draining from his nose. The adenoids coming out should help all that clear up relatively fast.

When they brought him to me after surgery he was a complete mess. He was still waking up, had an IV in his hand. Everytime he would open his eyes he would start screaming. He was shaking uncontrollably because he was cold. I felt so bad for him and all I could do it rock him and wait for him to wake up. He had to drink before we could leave. They finally gave him a popsicle and he sat up and ate it and then drank some juice. We were on our way home at 10:30.

He's been sleepy today and way off balance. He ran into the door twice now, once hitting the back of his head and getting a knot and then he ran into it face first and now has a nice bruise/gash in his forehead. At least it did not split open. I think with all the fluid that had built up he is learning what "normal" is again plus the anasthesia has him off balance.

He's good though. Thanks for all the prayers.

A big thank you to my friend Kelly in New Jersey. She was in my pregnancy buddy group when I was pregnant with Kendall and she and her little darling Kate sent Kendall this today. Thanks so much Kelly! We really appreciate it.

Kendall

Kendall continues to be sick. He's been sick since the beginning of February with ear infections, strep, etc. Today we took him back to the Ear Nose Throat doctor. We knew his right tube had come out which it has. His ear also has lots of fluid build up and some hearing loss. His left tube was bleeding over the weekend, so we thought it probably came out as well. Well it is blocked and he also has fluid and hearing loss in that ear.

Friday he is going to have a new set of tubes put in and his adenoids taken out. Hopefully this will be the key to getting him back on track to feeling better.

Say a prayer for us. I don't know what time surgery is. I find out tomorrow.

Below this post is a post of a slideshow of Harper's 4D ultrasound today.

Here is a slideshow of Harper's 4D ultrasound. We think she looks like Kendall. Look at those cheeks already though!

Snow Videos

Daddy kind of dumped him in this one! He just went face first into the snow and laughed and said do it again. Crazy BOY!

Here is a second try, much more successful!

Snow in Alabama on March 1

Snow does not come very often in Alabama, so when it does, we all get excited. We had a beautiful snowfall this morning. It was not a lot, but it was beautiful while it was around (all of about 2 hours) It is completely gone now. Kendall got to play in it this morning while it was around though and he had a great time. We went to my parents house this morning, so we could play in their front yard. It has a hill. Kendall and Kasey had a good time. I was afraid I might fall and hurt Harper, so I did not play in it. I just took some pictures and video which I will post later once it is downloaded. So this just goes to show Alabama does get snow sometimes, and it does snow even after it is 70 degrees two days before.
