Kendall had his two year appointment with the pediatrician on Friday. It went well and the dr. is very pleased with what he can do.
Stats are:
Weight 25.6 lbs (50%)
Height 33 inches (25%)-I think he is taller and they measured him on the scale, so I don't think this is accurate)
He scored 100% on his M-Chat (test for checking for Autism) There are no signs of autism at all in Kendall.
She was surprised that Kendall knew some of his colors. She said he should not know them until age 3. Kendall knows some colors, some shapes and some of the alphabet. He can also count to 10. He counts the steps as we go up and down them. He will also seperate cheerios while he is eating them and count them out.
He LOVES Montessori School and has really picked up a lot in just the few weeks he has been there. He knows that he is to put his toy back before getting out another. He also does most playing sitting on a rug now. If he is sitting at a table, when he gets up, he knows to clean up his mess and then push in his chair before he can do something else.
He is progressing wonderfully at swim lessons. He is now starting to do dog paddle and can really kick his feet good. He loves to jump in off the side and he goes under water now without fussing.
He is still doing well with potty training. He had a hard time the other day and got scared after, but I think we are good again. He is also starting to say I love you and it just breaks my heart every time I hear it.
Oh and we can't forget the boy LOVES TRAINS!!!!
I will leave you with a story of a boy and his trucks. He got a few trucks for his birthday. He has a bulldozer, a dump truck and a trackhoe. He was laying on his belly the other morning playing with his trucks. He likes to make them crash and announce it. So I was watching him play and he started having the trucks "talk" to one another. The conversation goes like this:
First Truck: Hey there what are you doing?
Second Truck: Just waiting, what are you doing?
He is so funny and so into make believe play these days.
