The second picture is our rasta man playing the piano. I can not even tell you how much he loves to play the piano. He even sings along as he plays.
Kendall is now 2 1/2 and continues to amaze us with his itelligence each and every day. I can only begin to list some of the things he can do at just 2 1/2. I blame it a lot on his Montessori School experience, but like we had a very good friend remind us at Christmas it is not all his school. We have a big part of it as his parents in what he knows at this age because of how we work with him each day.
Some things he can do that amaze us at 2 1/2 are:
Complete Sentences (sometimes 7 or more words)
Ex. from yesterday morning: Frosty the Snowman fell down in the grass Mommy. (talking about a blowup frosty that he saw that someone has not taken down again)
He can count to 10 in Spanish and speak a few basic Spanish words that he uses each time we go into a Mexican restaurant. It makes the waiters very happy to see Kendall talking Spanish to them.
He can sing Frere Jacque all the way through in French obviously. He learned this at school in French class. He has French each Friday.
He can identify all his basic shapes-circle, square, rectangle, heart, triangle, star
He can identify all his basic colors.
He can say his ABC's all the way through and identify all his capital letters and most all his lowercase letters.
He can read Hat, Cat, Stop. If you go to a stop sign, he wants to spell what the stop sign says every time. He sounds out the correct sound of most letters.
He is starting to trace shapes at school using a pencil.
He can count to 10 perfectly and can count up to about 25 when he focuses.
He can sing the whole twinkle twinkle little star song. He also sings many of his own versions of songs.
He will eat anything you put in front of him most of the time or at least try it. He is getting very good about using his fork and starting to learn to drink out of a regular cup without a lid.
He is getting better about using the potty. If he would only tell us when he has to go. He will stay dry most of the day though as long as we are on top of it making him go every hour or two.
He is still sleeping great through the night in his big boy bed.
These are just a few of the many things he can do right now. They are the ones that are on the top of my head at least. He has Kasey's personality for sure. It shines more and more each day. He seems excited about his baby sister and knows her name. If you ask him what her name is, he will tell you Harper Lily.
One thing going on with him though-this morning he woke up and had blood draining out of his ear. We aren't sure if the tube came out or if his eardrum may have ruptured. He is not complaining or fussy, so we aren't sure what is going on. It was bloody again tonight, so it looks like I'll be taking him in tomorrow to get it checked out.
