Momma has continued Pelvic Pain and her visit to Dr. Perry in Birmingham

Ok most of you who read my blog know that I have been dealing with pelvic pain for 7+ years. I have had endometriosis for this time period to include 4 laproscopic surgeries and the removal of one of my ovaries. I continue to have pain. Last Thursday July 12 I went to see a pelvic pain specialist in Birmingham. What a relief! Dr. Perry was probably the best doctor I have ever seen. I spent 4 hours in his office with lots of different tests and lots of results and answers to my pain.

Some of the pain generators they found are:

Endometriosis-Stage III
Interstitial Cystitis which is a bladder condition
Pelvic Floor Muscle Spasm-muscle spasm in the pelvis
Vestibulitis is an inflammation of this skin and the mucous secreting glands found in the skin.
Iliopsoas Spasm(spasm in my low back)
Lichen Sclerosus-a skin disease
IBS
Pelvic Congestion is a disorder found in the veins connecting the pelvic area.
Break Through bleeding
Retroverted Uterus which is a tilted uterus(basically backwards)

What does this mean now? Well I have to have another laproscopic surgery in the near future. It is not scheduled yet, but will post when it is. It will be in Birmingham and it is outpatient, but they will keep me overnight so they can watch me since I'm from out of town. I'm on about 6 different medications for different things. I'm excited that I have some answers. It is going to be a long road ahead, but hopefully with the uplift of my uterus, that will correct a lot of the pain in itself.
