A trip as a couple
The day after Harper turned one, Kasey had a business trip to Jacksonville, FL so I tagged along. It was a great time to get away and have some couple time, something we haven't had much of since Harper was born. We had not been on a trip since we went to Mexico back in Spring of 2008! We headed down on Wednesday to Jacksonville and Kasey had some work to do on Thursday. After he got done, we headed over to St. Augustine and toured the winery and then got on one of the sightseeing trollys. We headed back to Jacksonville that evening and had dinner at the beach. On Friday we decided to head over to Savannah, GA (one of my favorite places in the world). We got there at lunchtime, so we had lunch, walked around downtown and had a carriage ride sightseeing tour that evening. We had dinner at the Six Pence Pub and then went back downtown for a bit to listen to the local entertainment (a.k.a. homeless people making music) We stopped into Wet Willies several times for a daqueri. I'm really missing being able to walk around in the street with a drink in my hand. It was a great trip and we had a good time just us. We are headed to San Diego in July for a week(another business trip) and I hope to see the sights there to include Hollywood. I'm really trying to score tickets to see the taping of the Ellen show while we are there too. I check every day for June/July postings and they aren't up yet!

Changes again
I have decided to get rid of our travel blog that I created after our Mexico trip in 2008, since that is the only post I've had. Granted Kasey and I have not traveled since then, but I decided to just combine it with The Brown Klan. So if you go back to April 2008, you will see that post on our Mexico trip.
Don't forget our new blog on the kiddos http://worldofkendallandharper.blogspot.com/
I'll be adding some pictures to this blog later. Kasey and actually did get to get away for a couple of days last week, and I have a few pictures to add.

Happy New Year/Goals
We hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. We sure did. There is something so special about sharing the holidays with children. It makes it so much more special!
Some goals I have for 2010! Notice I said goals. I don't set resolutions because I never stick with them. Maybe if I call them goals, I can set them and hope to accomplish them.
*Work on my scrapbooking. I want to finish Kendall's first year book by the end of January and work on the second year. Obviously I will never get caught up, but maybe! I also want to get started on Harper's because I can honestly say I must be the worst mother ever when it comes to doing this stuff. I have not printed a single picture of her since she was born "gasp" 8 months ago.
*I want to blog more regularly and keep tract of what is going on in our lives. I can't keep trying to recap a month at a time, although I do say I've done a good job at it. obviously I'm going to have to get started by recapping December.
*I want to become more organized at home and try to keep up with keeping the house cleaned. I know if Kasey is reading this, he is probably having a heart attach right about now since I said that "cleaning" word. Ha! Something hit me over the weekend and I just could not stand the way the pantry looked, so I got it done. My next task is to get the kitchen cabinets reorganized. We have a lot of appliances that need better homes!
*I want to become more organized at work too and keep my office neater. I accomplished that today actually by cleaning out old files and getting stuff that needed to be filed put away. I have a goal to be a little more assertive at work too. I have really gotten kind of slack since having kids. I just don't have the motivation I used to have. I would rather be at home I guess.
*I want my family to start eating better and not eating so much fast food on the weekends. Lots of veggies coming our way!
*I want to be a little more patient with Kendall. It is really hard sometimes when he is acting crazy. I just automatically spank him. I know spanking is fine, but I really feel that I'm spanking him and it is not doing any good or making a difference. I keep telling me this is just a 3 yr old stage and he will outgrow it, but patience patience patience!
Be sure to check our our other blog about the kids.

What's New?!
Wow, sorry it has been so long since I have blogged. So much has gone on since the last time I blogged.
First off, please look at the posts below here. You might even have to click on older posts at the bottom because I have added a lot of pictures to different posts of Harper and Kendall over the past 2 months.
So what is new with us! Lots!!!
Kendall is 3 now! Pictures to follow in this post. He turned 3 on June 13 and we celebrated his birthday at the Courtland air and car show. He had a blast and what a great day it was. All of his grandparents and a few close friends of ours were there to help celebrate. It was a rainy day, but it turned out beautiful! He is also fully potty trained, both day and night-pee and poop. Go Kendall. I purchased the 3daypottytraining e-book and potty trained him in 3 days. Granted I stayed glued to my back porch for a week with the help of my mom to help me with Harper, but we got him trained and I highly recommend this method to anyone in the potty training mode! I will use it on Harper as well if she needs it.
Harper is growing rather quickly. She was two months old on Saturday. How did that happen so fast?! She has outgrown all her newborn clothes and diapers and we are quickly outgrowing size 1 diapers too. She is nothing like Kendall was when it comes to weight. She is already 12lbs! Kendall was 9lbs at 2 months. I suspect by her 2month appointment on Monday, she will be 13lbs. She definatly does not miss a meal! She is sleeping pretty good. She is going 4-6 hrs a night(except the past two) and 3-4 hrs during the day between feedings. Unfortunatly she has reflux like Kendall did and we are currently testing meds to see what works best for her. I'm doing nexium right now. She does have some screaming fits at night, not sure if it is colic or not. They stopped for awhile, but has come back, so we aren't sure what is going on. I still say overall, she is a pretty easygoing and happy baby. I know people that have much worse on their hands, so I thank my lucky stars and will deal with some crying from time to time. She is losing her hair too. It makes me sad, but I know it will come back. She still has most of it in the back at the bottom. It is looking a lot lighter though. We are still trying to decide who she looks like. She has very blue eyes that keep getting lighter and lighter, so I think they are going to stay blue. Yay for my dominant eyes! I really wanted a blue eyed brunette. I got the blue eyed part. The brunette is still to be determined.
Kasey had some minor surgery done a couple weeks ago and lets just leave it as we are done having kids. Not that I wanted anymore anyway especially after that last pregnancy, but we are official now.
I'm off work until August 5. I'm really enjoying the time I'm getting to spend with the kids. Kendall is going to school 1-2 days a week, and with me the rest of the time. We have our morning cartoon time each morning and I'm really enjoying it. I'm going to miss both of them when I have to go back to the real world and make some money. At least I'll be able to buy something then!
I'll leave you with some pictures from Kendall's Birthday!
