It's Time...

To announce this




Yes I'm pregnant due May 14. Please pray for me to have a successful pregnancy. We are over the moon excited(at least I am) Kasey is getting there. Ha!I guess it was a bit of a surprise to both of us. We knew we were going to start trying but with as long as it took to get Kendall, we just figured that it would be the same to get this one. Well I guess we were wrong about that one. It was so much easier this time, thank goodness! All is well so far. I go to the doctor on Oct. 7.

One year ago...

One year ago today, my life of pain was changed. It is my first year in 9 years that I have been pain free because I finally found a great doctor in Birmingham that was able to diagnose all my pelvic pain and not just try to tell me that all my pain was endometriosis. Now a year later I am pain free and loving it. Unfortunatly my dr. is not with us anymore. He passed away in early April due to a rare form of cancer. I still go to the other dr. in the office that was in on my surgery about every 4-6 months just for a check up.

I thank God everyday for Dr. Perry, Dr. Child's and his staff. They have changed my life.

Look at this Jelly Fish!

We found this laying on the beach on our last day. It was HUGE. I have never seen a jellyfish so big. I thought it was a sand dollar walking up on it. Nope it's a jellyfish.

Crack a lacka

Beach Trip 08-Destin, Florida

We returned from our annual beach trip Saturday afternoon after a wonderful week in sunny Destin, FL. The weather was wonderful despite arriving a week before right in the middle of Tropical Storm Fay. It does look like we got out of there just in time though, since Gustav is causing some bad weather in the area. It only rained one day-Monday and was sunny the rest of the time. I think it was a wonderful time had by all and what a relaxing week it was. Here are some pictures of our vacation. We had so much fun watching Kendall. He LOVED the beach and was such a joy to be with all week. It was good to spend some quality time with him. I think the whole family can agree that it was a great week. I already want to go back!

These are actually only about 30 of over 300 pictures. I might make a seperate post with a slideshow of all of them.

I must add to all my blog readers(especially Kelly in NJ) this is what a real beach looks like. =) After growing up near the Jersey Shore and then seeing this, this is what it is all about.

Cousin Cabin fun-August 2008

My brother, Shannon and my niece and nephew came to Mentone to the cabin the week before we left for the beach. Kendall went up with mom and dad a couple days before Kasey and I came up, so him and Eliza could play together. This gave Kasey and I some time alone too which was nice. I think they had a good time together. I wish we all lived closer. I know Kendall and Eliza would have so much playing together all the time. I think Kendall was trying to wrestle with Eliza! At one point I saw her riding him like a horse too. That picture is a bit blurry to post though. We can't wait to see them again in October. Paul just smiled at everyone. Give him a few years and he will be right in there wrestling too.

My parents left today to go to Canada for 10 days. They have been at the cabin this week visiting with my brother and his family, so Kasey and I have been taking turns picking up Kendall from school this week. Today was my day, so I have been home this afternoon. Saturday morning we are leaving to go to Destin, FL for a week. We are meeting up with my Mother In Law, Kasey's stepdad and his brother, Kasey's Aunt and her friend. We went to this same house last year and had a blast. Best of all Joe pays for it! We LOVE JOE! It has a seperate cabana pool house that we stay in, so we are not even in the main house with everyone else. So my afternoon has been folding laundry and getting things ready (starting to at least) to head to the beach. There is just one problem-Fay is headed that way also. Oh well, our life on vacation is never craziness free. I'm really looking forward to a break from the real world and having some fun with my family. Kendall was just starting to walk last year and just 14mths old, so it is going to be so much fun watching him this year. He is going to have a blast and so am I. Hopefully we will come back with some more beautiful memories like these taken last year.
