Happy Birthday Kendall!

HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY KENDALL!!!

Our Big Boy has turned TWO! Well not quite yet, not until 3:33 this afternoon, but today is his big day. This time two years ago I was in quite some pain and getting my epidural.

And just for laughs, so you can see how MISERABLE I really was by this time two years ago. For any of you who "KNOW" me, I'm tiny and look how HUGE I was when I checked into the hospital. 51 lbs heavier than I normally am. It was worth it though!

This little potty chair....

Is fornutatly getting a lot of use. Kendall went pee pee on it SIX times yesterday! He is growing up on us. He even knows that he has to push to make sure he is completely done. Way to go Kendall!!!

I've been busy today

Kendall and I started out the day by going to swim lessons. Kendall did great there. He even went under a few times and jumped off the side. He loves the water, but really freaks if he is on his back.

I spent the rest of the afternoon doing this:

My pathway to the pond is finished! It required two trips to Lowes and lot of lifting. I'm sure I'll be sore tomorrow, but it is done. Now all I need is mulch which I hope to get tomorrow once Kasey returns and we have the truck. I am so pleased with how everything has turned out. It is so fun getting to work in my garden, so I really enjoyed my day. I also added 10 new goldfish to my 5 large ones today. Now I have 15 fish in my pond.

Pond with Plants

Here are some pictures of the pond after I planted some plants this evening. Now all I need is my mulch and I think I'm going to make a rock walkway from the sidewalk back to the pond. I'm so pleased with how it has turned out.

Fun in the Tub!

Here are a few pictures from bath time last night. We made a mohawk. The first picture is the best, but I forgot to use my flash, so I had to lighten it myself and now it looks kind of goofy colored. Oh well, you will get the picture.


One week from today Kendall turns TWO!!!!





Kasey is at the race in Nashville this weekend. He will be back on Saturday evening or early Sunday morning. Kendall and I spent the morning going to music and then running around trying to finish up stuff for his birthday party next weekend. We are having an ELMO party. I dug up and transplanted some plants to around my pond. I need to get a couple more plants and then some mulch. Once it is all mulched, the pond area should be looking good!

Updated pond progress

On the way back from Chattanooga, we had to go to my parents cabin because Kendall spent the night with my mom and dad while Kasey and I went to his 20 yr reunion which was ok. I felt really young though!

Anyway while at the cabin, we loaded up some rocks for around our fish pond that we moved a few weeks ago. Here is the finished product. Now I just need to do some planting around it, get a couple of plants for the pond itself and a couple more fish and mulch the front bed and we will be good to go.

This little guy....

Is going to be TWO in just 2 weeks from TODAY! Where in the world has time gone these past two years. I just want to slow it all down. He is growing up WAY TOO FAST!

He just amazes us every day with what he can do and what he is learning. As you can see in this picture, he loves to climb up in chairs. He loves to get in daddy's computer chair and SPIN!

We are off to music this morning and then to Hobby Lobby to hopefully find some stuff for his party. We are having an Elmo party. We are finally getting some R.S.V.P.'s, so I'm able to start planning finally.

Tomorrow he starts swimming lessons and then we are headed up to Chattanooga for Kasey's 20 yr high school reunion. Yeah he really is that much older than me. I just celebrated my 10th 2 yrs ago. Kendall is going to stay at the cabin while we are in Chattanooga.
