Kendall very sick
Just a quick update on what is going on with us. Saturday when I put Kendall down for his nap, he felt kind of warm to me and I took his temperature. It was 101. I gave him some tylenol and thought it was teething. That evening, it kept going up and up. It was up to 103. Sunday morning we woke up and he was doing a bit better, so we decided to head on to the family reunion that we had to go to. Bad mistake. We never made it there. Kendall's fever shot to 104 in the car, so we took him into the ER at a Children's Hospital in Chattanooga. They did blood work, a urine culture(that had to stick a catheter in). It came back as a UTI. When they took his temp the final time in the hospital it was 105 rectally! My baby was burning up. They gave him some more tylenol and a rocephin shot in each leg. His fever dropped, but still was hovering around 103. We came home and he was not drinking. He had 4 oz all day yesterday, so we called the dr. and they admitted him into the hospital. He is still there. His temp has dropped and he is doing so much better, eating almost normal. It did shoot up to 104 again this afternoon after it had been 99, so they did more blood work which came back a fever virus. They are growing out his urine culture to make sure it is nothing else. Daddy is staying with him tonight as I'm sick too with a terrible cold and got zero sleep last night. I'm absolutly beat. Please keep us in your prayers and I will check in when we get released.

Mother's Day
Kendall is also 11 months old today! He was walking behind one of his push toys pushing it along. I don't think it will be long now until he is walking!
Happy Mother's Day to all the moms who may read this!

Almost 11 months update
Kendall is really saying Momma, and bye bye now. I just returned from a walk with him. Daddy is not feeling well tonight. When we got home, he was saying bye bye momma. I had to laugh. He is also really clapping a lot now and he also shakes his head no. I think he picked that up from me telling him no when he is getting into things. If you shake your head, he will do it back at you. He is so close to walking. He barely hangs on to anything. He is also working on another tooth. I think it is another top tooth-#7, but his bottom ones look like they are popping up too, so I think he is working on 3 more teeth.
We can't believe he will be 11 months old on Sunday-my first Mother's Day! Last year I was just pregnant. I actually get to celebrate this year.

Teeth, Curls, Cruisin, Clapping and getting stronger every day!
Phew where to begin!
We will begin with teeth. Kendall now has 6 teeth at 10 months. He has gotten his top two teeth that are on each side of his top middle teeth. They definatly have been the worse so far. We made it through it with some hylands teething tablets and a little bit of motrin. Isn't he cute! You can see four of his teeth in this one. The others have just popped through, so they are still hiding.
Next we have curls. Kendall's hair
is getting longer in the back. At least he is finally getting some hair! Everywhere except the front that is. Oh well, one day he will have some there too. Anyway he has curls! Here is a picture of the starting of his curls.
He started to clap today. I have been really working with him trying to get him to clap. He finally started this
evening. I bet he will be clapping away in his music class tomorrow which he really loves by the way.
He is still really cruising everywhere and getting so much stronger each day. I can't believe how he has progressed in just a week. I got him a real pair of tennis shoes on Friday from Stride Rite (Thank you Nana Brown-we used your Easter money) and he really enjoys them and has done so much more now that he has them. He is starting to let go of what he is holding on to with one hand at least and just using one for his balance. It amazes all of us how much he is doing so quickly. At this rate he will be walking by 11 months I'm sure.
